We often get asked, what can I do to get bigger? Here is a video explaining all the intricacies that happen in order for muscle growth. It's not as simple as "Do this workout and eat this!"
1. You need to challenge yourself. If you are doing the same workout, the same repetitions and the same sets, you are in a continuous cycle and will never see any change. You need to expose your body to different exercises, loads, reps, sets and challenges, combined with a healthy diet, you will start seeing results.
2. Eating "Healthy". What does that even mean? Are you familiar with the saying "Dress for the job you want, not the job that you have" Well, it's kind of like that. Eat for the body you want, not the body you have. This is a rabbit hole that we can get lost down in the matter of minutes, but I will say, if you are not providing your body with enough Protein, Carbohydrates and Fats you are already moving in the wrong direction.
3. There are many training programs out there, but ask yourself, "What is my Goal?" After you answer yourself honestly, then you can ask yourself "Am I training towards this Goal?" If you are not, you need to start there. A lot of questions are going to happen, and you have to answer those questions honestly "Is what I am eating going to help me reach my goal?" Well, is it?
4. When in doubt, ask for help. If you were unsure how to prepare your taxes, wouldn't you find someone knowledgeable in that field to help you? It's the same with your body. Choose carefully, ask questions, ask for referrals, ask to see testimonials. Don't just choose a trainer because they have a great physique, you want someone that actually knows what they are doing and has experience. It's your body, you only get one!
