Homemade Play Dough



On rainy days in the summer my Mom used to sit us all at the kitchen table and place 5 ingredients in front of us. She didn't have to tell us what to do with it, it was instinct. I'm not going to lie, I definitely ate some of my works of art, but it smelled so yummy. Why does commercial play-doh smell so weird anyway? I'm not sure how old this recipe is, but when I was a kid, Aunt Verna was old ...

Ingredients: 1 Cup Salt

1 Cup Water 2 ½ Cups Flour 4 tsp. Salad Oil Food Coloring


Directions:

Stir everything together (except food coloring) with a big spoon.  Gather heap with hand and knead dough.  Divide in 4 quarters. Add food coloring to each chunk. Fold and knead it until color is mixed through.

Ready to Play With!
